ON THE PAGE AND ONLINE
I’m a qualified journalist with wide experience of writing for national and regional newspapers, magazines and websites.
Many people know me mainly as an equestrian journalist and my work appears in Horse and Hound and many other titles. I’ve also written on equestrian subjects for publications as diverse as The Times, Woman and Home and a magazine for Rolls-Royce owners.
However, I’m not a one-trick pony. I write about many different subjects and for lots of publications – recent commissions have included articles, profiles and columns for titles ranging from Museums and Heritage magazine to regional newspaper lifestyle titles. I've also edited and am now a consultant for a B2B magazine for the animal health care industry.
I can tailor features for specific markets and readerships. For instance, I've written articles to help vets improve their communication and marketing skills, talked to Julian Clary for a lifestyle magazine about his Shakespearian ambitions and blogged about the fascinations and foibles of the equestrian world for an online retailer.
I write for websites and social media as well as for print media, providing original material and helping businesses and organisations to get the right message across - though there's a distinct line between the work I do and PR. You may also read articles and columns I've put together for people who know their stuff but prefer to ask a professional writer to shape their thoughts.
